    Voting is one of the most important rights we have as citizens. To help you make sure you’re ready and protected, we’ve created this easy-to-follow checklist to guide you through the process. Use this resource to ensure you’re fully prepared to vote, whether it’s your first time or your twentieth. Protect your vote, and protect your voice!

    • Bring an Acceptable ID: You are not required to show ID to vote, but if you are asked, an acceptable form of identification includes: Delaware Driver’s License or State ID, U.S. Passport, Military ID, Current utility bill, paycheck, or government document showing your name and address

    • Know Your Polling Place: Confirm your polling location with your voter registration card or online before you go. Polls in Delaware are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you’re in line by 8:00 PM, you can vote.

    • Review Your Ballot: Familiarize yourself with the candidates on the ballot before you arrive. You can bring notes with you, but no campaigning materials (like wearing campaign buttons or shirts).

    • Report Issues Immediately: If you’re not on the voter list or encounter any problems, request a provisional ballot. Call the DE VOTES Voter Helpline at 1-833-DEVOTES if you face intimidation or suppression.
